Pass Plus
What is Pass Plus?
Pass Plus is an optional driving course created by the DVSA to help new drivers become more confident and safer on the road. It’s taken after you pass your driving test.
Why take Pass Plus?
-
Build confidence by driving in situations you didn’t cover much during lessons.
-
Improve safety with professional guidance in advanced conditions.
-
Possible insurance discounts with some insurers (not guaranteed but often available).
What does Pass Plus include?
The course covers 6 modules:
-
Town driving
-
All-weather driving
-
Driving on rural roads
-
Night driving
-
Dual carriageways
-
Motorways
It’s usually 6 hours long or more if needed and there is no test at the end — your instructor simply assesses your progress.
